Howdy everyone! Dave and I were talking over some dinner the other day and we were thinking that our group deserves a cool name, other than the tongue-twisting: Austin Emergent Church Cohort Meetup Group.

I know that some cohorts have nifty names like "up/rooted" (Chicago) and "EmergingPhoenix" (Phoenix, of course). I thought this discussion thread might be a good place for people to toss out ideas for a cool name and then we could vote on it.

What do ya think?

www.thealarm.typepad.com/circle_slide_confessional is the new blog for the central TX emergent group that I put together.... still barebones but ready to have some meat put on it.

Hmm....Several ideas spring to mind.

WeirdChristianity - playing on the "Keep Austin Weird" idea
EmCoAustin - "Em"ergent "Co"hort Austin; perhaps a little obvious
12AngryDisciples - for that cool literary vibe

BTW, Scott...I still have your McClaren book. I'll try to get it to you at the Feb. Meeting.
