BRIAN MCLAREN in Austin Next Tuesday, Nov. 13th

Hey everyone, Brian McLaren is coming to Austin next Tuesday, Nov. 13th. He'll be spending the entire day giving talks at various events, from 630am to about 7pm. This is, in some ways, sort of a test-run for his Everything Must Change book tour. But it is not directly related. His talks will be focusing on how everyone can be involved in confronting global crises, even on a local level.

Visit the above site for details/times. We are also in the process of securing a venue for him at UT, but we're waiting on confirmation from admin for room reservation. So you won't see this noted on the web page, but keep in mind we're planning to have him speak at UT from 5:30 til 7:30 or so. It's just up the in the air at the moment.

We are completely open to ANY ideas of how this Meetup cohort could participate in the event, on a deeper level than just attending (although, please attend!). So if any of you have any ideas, such as how you can help promote it, or any other ideas, PLEASE RESPOND! (Example: If you're interested, I'm sure we could use street teams to hand out flyers and stuff...especially if you're student.)

Also, if you'd like a copy of the poster we've created for the event so you can print it out on your own and plaster everywhere you go...let me know by responding to this email and I can e-mail you the pdf.
